ITP: Kurt built Rogue a coffin

[So one day BEFORE Halloween, there is a fuzzy blue elf trying to drag a very nicely-made coffin into an acceptable position in the front yard. His loving sister keeps making him move it. It will fit in nicely with the tombstones, cobwebs, giant spiders, ghosts, and jack-o-bat army that are scattered artfully around the cabin. Also that pesky Sentinel and the creepy dadneto hammock additions, but who's counting those?]

I can't believe you talked me into this. What are you going to do, sleep in it?

((Open to everyone who would possibly have a reason to stop by the X-Cabin. Feel free to have antics as you see fit, since I missed most of the Halloween things.))

It was either this or decorating the lawn with severed hands, and, you know. That seems a little tactless. So I built her a coffin and let her decorate the front lawn.

And over here we have the spooky graveyard, completely with tombstones, cobwebs, and some zombies that Rogue convinced needed to stay in the half-dug holes. It looks like Al B. Late even fell asleep in his.

Nah, they're fake! See, they all have funny names if you say them out loud. Like "Al B. Late" sounds like "I'll be late" which is a terrible pun. They're just for decoration.

Rogue got into it before I could stop her. But you can rope some zombies into sitting in front of her tombstones if you want. Or make more jack-o-bats. There can never be too many decorations!

I personally like the ghosts the best. Especially the way they circle around the house and make the "ooooo" sounds. It's clever, right?

How'd you do that?

Put little sound boxes in the head part of the ghosts. And they're on a circuit that spins around the cabin. I didn't do as good as Forge, but it isn't bad, if I do say so myself.

If we distract him by giving him things to do then we can delay the inevitable.

This is the proper way to have Halloween. At the mansion we spend weeks setting everything up into the scariest haunted house ever.

If there aren't superhero rules against coming to visit, I don't see why you can't. We'll just need to figure out how the world-hopping thing works first.

My thoughts exactly! We've got enough people here who know how it works. The only thing stopping us from testing it out is the pesky barrier.

Oh, right, of course. I'm totally cool with not getting eaten. Besides, it's almost Christmas, and we'd all be going home for the holidays. You couldn't come visit and have the whole mansion be empty.

My thoughts exactly. We've...well, we don't need to add anything else to all of it. If we can set up for Halloween and make sure everyone has a good time, then I count it as a success.
